Research Area:

By targeting the proteins, enzymes, nuclear acids which play key role in the development of major disease, we screen for lead compounds for anticancer, anti-virus, anti-diabetes anti-cardiovascular and cerebrovascular treatment; Illustrate the regulatory mechanisms of aberrant glycans in diseases via studying the roles of sugar chains in the signal transduction;Illustrate the drugabilities of the lead compounds and provide biologicalbasis for the novel drug development.

Research Achievements:

The group is supported by more than 20 grants includingNational Basic Research Program Grant of China (973), National high technologyprogram of China (863), and National Natural Science Foundation of China.

About 100 research papers have been published these years, most of them have been published in the famous journals, such as Mol.pharm., Glycobiology, Biochem. Pharm., Antivir Res., J Neurochem., Plos one.

Four inventions have been patented. About 20 Ph.D and 30 M.D students have gradated.
