Main Achievements
14 national research programs have been conducted over the past 5 years and Laboratory of Marine Natural Products Chemistry has achieved:
1. Established an integrated screening method to discover medicinal microorganisms from marine samples and fermentation strategies of using high yield strain for producing new structural active products.
2. Found out a batch of significant marine medicinal microorganisms while built up a medicinal microorganism repository.
3. Obtained over 400 novel active products and built up a corresponding repository of marine small molecule active compounds. There are two compounds, MDZ-03 and Griseoviridin A, which are targeting at PKC, TopⅡ, and are undergoing preclinical trials as leading compounds for antitumor agents.
4. Published more than 80 papers on Org Lett, Tetrahedron, J Nat Prod and other academic journals which were recorded by SCI. The Lab also possess 40 application of national invention patents. (15 of them have been authorised)
Now there are one postdoctor, 19 PhDs and 30 Masters cultivated by the Lab successfully.
