With decades of teaching practice, Department of Social Sciences has always been putting teaching effectiveness as the top priority. All other work must serve this purpose. One teacher was accredited with National Model Teacher and Outstanding Teacher in Ideological & Political Education. At the same time,several teachers were awarded Excellent Level in OUC's teaching evaluation. All undergraduate compulsory courses have been listed as Quality Course in the University. One course has been picked as Provincial Quality Course in Shandong Province. All classes enjoyed good appraisals both from the students and the University. Teaching method innovation directed by Department of SocialSciences has been coverd by Guangming Daily and China Education Daily, which has received positive appreciation.
