On October 10, 2019, A series of activities to celebrate the 95th anniversary of the establishment of Ocean University of China-Academic forum for the development of the Blue Medicine Depot organized by the Ocean University of China School of Medicine and Pharmacy and Marine Biomedical Research Institute of Qingdao was held at academic lecture hall, Wenyuan Building, Yushan Campus of Ocean University of China. Academician Guan Huashi, leaders of the party and the government of the Ocean University of China School of Medicine and Pharmacy and leaders of Marine Biomedical Research Institute of Qingdao attended the forum. The forum was hosted by Professor Lu Zhihua, Dean of the Ocean University of China School of Medicine and Pharmacy. More than 100 teachers and students from the Ocean University of China School of Medicine and Pharmacy and Marine Biomedical Research Institute of Qingdao attended the forum.
Academician Guan Huashi pointed out in his concluding speech that the forum was very successful and brought new ideas, new technologies and new concepts. This is very exciting. Based on this, all teachers will expand the Blue Medicine Depot indefinitely, apply new technologies systematically to drug development, concentrate scientific thinking, think seriously, seize opportunities for innovation, and develop marine drugs for the benefit of mankind.
