On the 70th anniversary of the founding of the People's Republic of China, Academician Huashi Guan, Professor Guangli Yu, and Professor Wengong Yu of the School of Medicine of Ocean University of China won the Commemorative Medal Celebrating the 70th Anniversary of the Founding of the People's Republic of China issued by the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China, the State Council and the Central Military Commission.

A total of 72 people from Ocean University of China were awarded the Celebrating the 70th Anniversary of the Founding of the People's Republic of China commemorative medal, including 43 retirees who had worked and lived before the founding of the People's Republic of China, And 29 members, including Academician Huashi Guan, Academician Weibo Song and Academician Lixin Wu, who have won the state honorary titles and state science and technology awards.
