2018 “HUAWEI Cup“ The 15thChina Post-Graduate Mathematical Contest in Modeling
The 15thChina Post-Graduate Mathematical Contest in Modeling was officially opened on September 15, 2018 in our school. By the end of the contest on September 19, 12207 teams had submitted their papers successfully. The 15th“HUAWEI Cup” China Post-Graduate Mathematical Contest in Modeling in 2018 is organized by Ocean University of China and sponsored by “HUAWEI” technologies co., LTD.
Starting from June 15, 2018, a total of 13,463 teams have signed up for this competition, involving 40,389 postgraduates from 488 graduate training institutions, including 34 postgraduates from international, Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan regions. Both the number of applicants and the number of successful participants reached the highest record in history.
Since the registration in June, the school has set up a special competition consulting office and arranged staff to be on duty all day to deal with the competition matters. From July 7th to 9th, a competition proposition meeting was held in the school. The members of the competition expert committee discussed and determined the contest questions at the meeting, one of which was a contest topic related to Marine science provided by the university.
The competition evaluation was conducted online, and the on-site centralized evaluation was conducted from November 1 to 5, and the competition award ceremony was held from December 6 to 8.
As one of the theme events of "China Graduate Student Innovation Practice Series", National Post-Graduate Mathematical Contest in Modeling is an academic competition aimed at the application research of mathematical modeling for graduate students.It is a large platform for postgraduates to improve their ability to build mathematical models and solve practical problems by using Internet information technology, and cultivate the spirit of scientific research innovation and team cooperation. It is the most influential postgraduates competition with the largest number of participants in China.
