On the evening of October 28, the final of the 2017 "Cauchy Cup" freshman debate competition of the School of Mathematical Sciences was held in classroom 4101, District 4.

Present at the final were teacher Fu Cong, Tan Jiawei, former debate team leader Han Lin, vice President of the Student Union Yu Yue, and debate team leaders of other departments.

Before the debate officially began, we reviewed the excellent performances of the two teams over the past month by playing a short video. After the training of the competition and the patience help of the senior, the two teams grew up from the debating beginners to an outstanding debater today.  

After a heated competition ,the chairman announced the final result of the game. The winner of the best debater of the 2017 ”Cauchy Cup“ is Yang Zhanyi, the fourth debater of the positive side, and the winner is the positive side.

So far, the freshman debate competition has come to a successful conclusion. 

Just as what Kou Ruibo, the leader of our debate team, said, “This is not the end, but a new beginning”.
