Abstract:In wireless networks, cloud computing and data networks, there are many nonlinear combinatorial optimization problems. They require new techniques and new theoretical foundation to find their solutions and approximation solutions. Nonlinear combinatorial optimization is a "new" research direction motivated from those applications. In this talk, I'm going to introduce this new direction and point out some existing open problems.
