RESEARCH

Research Interests:

1. Theoretical and experimental researcheson the hydrodynamic characteristics of fish cages of aquaculture and development of sea-cage system that may resist strong wind, current and waves under disaster sea state;

2. Study on the selectivity of fishing gears and development of selective fishing equipments;

3. Study on the hydrodynamic properties of net twines for fishery;

4. Development of technology for offshoreaquatic-breeding facilities.


Current Research Projects (recent 10 years):

§ Study on the hydrodynamic characteristics of fishing-net twines. Supported by a grant from the National Natural Science Foundation of China(Grant No. 40776052), 2011-2013;

§ Research on the numerical simulation of hydrodynamic characteristics of floating elliptic-shaped breakwaters made of porous medium. Supported by a grant from the National Natural Science Foundation of China(Grant No. 31172446), 2012-2014;

§ Technical study on the offshore three-dimensional cultivation engineering circulated by purse net. Supported by a grant from the ProvincialKey Technologies R & D Program of Shandong (No. 2008C12065-1), 2008-2010;

§ Studyon the dynamic response characteristics of aquaculture net-cage system in the fields of both waves and current. Supported by a grant from the National Natural Science Foundation of China(Grant No. 40576045), 2006-2008;

§ Study on the dynamic response characteristics of mooring system for the deep-sea aquaculture cages of gravity-type. Supported by the Key Project of Chinese Ministry of Education (No. 107071), 2007-2008;

§ Research on the key technology of emergency disposal to the large-scale outbreak of enteromorphaand its application: study on the facility and its supporting engineering technique to clean out enteromorpha quickly and effectively. Supported by a grant from the National Key Technologies R & D Program of China during the 11th Five-Year Plan Period No. 2008BAC49B03),2008-2009;
