RESEARCH

Research Interests:

My research focuses on functionand restoration of the seagrass bed. Our research has an emphasis on ecology and physiology of seagrass, ecological function of seagrass bed, and rehabilitation technology of impaired seagrass bed. These processes are critical to conservation of seagrass resources and restore of marine environment.

Specific Research Directions:

The present situation and degeneration causes of seagrass resources in coast waters of Shandong Province have been studied. And research on the physiology ofZostera marina L., and restoration of impaired biotic communityofZostera marina L. have also been discussed. Construction of seagrass bed is adapted to shallow sea waters of China. Though development of these works, large amount of research data and experience has been accumulated in aspects of research of seagrass resources, repair and protect of seagrass bed, and physiologicaland ecological research of seagrass.

Current Research Projects:

§ Researches in rehabilitation of impaired biotic communityof Zostera marina L. in the typical area of sea, National Natural Science Foundation of China for YouthGrant No. 307006152008.01-2010.12
