Besides Yushan Campus and Fushan Campus, Laoshan Campus, the third campus of OUC, was officially in operation on September 17th, 2006.

   On that morning, present at the ceremony of cutting ribbon and unveiling were some leaders from CPC Shandong Provincial Committee, CPC Qingdao Committee, North Sea Fleet, the University Work Department under the Ministry of Education, and CPC Laoshan District Committee. Some OUC’s top leaders also participated in the occasion, including Mr. Feng Ruilong, Secretary of CPC OUC Committee, Mr. Wu Dexing, President of OUC, Mr. Guan Huashi, Honorary Chairman of Commission for University Affairs, Academician Wen Shengchang, Mr. Li Yaozhen, Mr. Yu Yifa, Mr. Yu Zhigang, Mr. Zhai Shikui, Mr. Dong Shuanglin, Madam Zhang Jing, Mr. Wang Qingren, Chairman of the OUC Trade Union, Mr. Xu Tianzhen, Assistant President of OUC, Mr. Xu Guojun, Deputy Chief Accountant of OUC, and other leaders of all faculties and colleges (departments). Meanwhile, staff members of the Laoshan Campus Construction Headquarters andrepresentatives of teachers and students also attended the ceremony.
